Abstract
The formulation of the problem in this study is whether leadership has an effect on the Performance of the State
Civil Apparatus (ASN) at the General Bureau of the North Sumatra Governor's Office. Does supervision affect
the performance of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) at the General Bureau of the North Sumatra Governor's
Office. Does leadership and supervision affect the Performance of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) at the
General Bureau of the North Sumatra Governor's Office. This study aims to determine the influence of
leadership on the Performance of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) at the General Bureau of the North Sumatra
Governor's Office, to determine the effect of supervision on the Performance of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN)
at the General Bureau of the North Sumatra Governor's Office and to determine the influence of leadership and
supervision on Performance of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) at the General Bureau of the North Sumatra
Governor's Office. The total population in this study amounted to 120 people, and by using a saturated sampling
technique, a sample of 120 people was obtained. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The
results showed that leadership had a positive and significant effect on the performance of the State Civil
Apparatus (ASN) at the General Bureau of the Governor's Office of North Sumatra Province with a value of
(2.205 > 1.980) and Sig (0.029 < 0.05). Supervision has a positive and significant effect on the performance of
the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) at the General Bureau of the Governor's Office of North Sumatra Province
(2.587 > 1.980) and Sig (0.011 < 0.05). Simultaneously, leadership and supervision variables have a significant
effect on the performance of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) at the General Bureau of the Governor's Office of
North Sumatra Province with a value of (13.240 > 3.07) or sig F < 5 % (0.000 < 0.05).
